Thinking of re-doing your website?
I think WordPress would be a terrific platform for your project.
99.9% of the time I advise clients who need a new website to build it in WordPress.
Here are a few reasons why:
1. Easy Maintenance
WordPress lets you make changes to your website yourself. You update web pages, create blog posts, upload photographs – all without getting a programmer involved. This is why it’s referred to as a Content Management System (CMS).
2. Getting Found
If your website does not help you get found, then it just serves as a way for existing clients to get a little background about you.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
But a website that helps you get found by new leads who turn into new customers is a website that is working hard for you.
In some cases, getting found by more people will help you get higher ad revenue.
WordPress helps you get found due to some powerful search engine optimization (SEO) plug-ins:
- Google XML sitemaps – this lays out all the pages of your website so that it is easy for search engines like Google and Yahoo to index and crawl them. The easier it is for Google to crawl your site, the more likely your website will appear on the first page of Google’s search results.
- User defined meta data: Search engines use meta data like title tags, image alt text and meta descriptions to figure out what your website is about. WordPress creates some meta data (like title tags) automatically. The other bits can be entered by you, again, without coding one line of html.
3. Easily Customizable
With quite a few free and paid themes to choose from, you can customize your site without much hassle.
4. Built-in Blog
WordPress was first developed as a blogging tool. All of the functionality for creating blog posts and displaying posts and comments is built right in.
Search engines love a website with new, fresh content. And the easiest way to feed search engines new, fresh content is through a blog. WordPress has one, built right in.

I’ve went forward and bookmarked http://ebakerysocialmedia.com/build-your-new-website-on-wordpress/ at Digg.com so my pals can easily see it also. I simply applied Build Your New Website on WordPress as the entry headline in my Reddit.com bookmark, as I determined if it is ok for you to identify your blog post that, then you usually would like to view it bookmarked the same way. I am not necessarily an authority in this area; heck, I am only a residential roofing carlisle ma. Howerver, I really like to go online and pay attention to what appealing articles are out there in order to keep myself educated and entertained. Your Build Your New Website on WordPress was very entertaing. Many thanks for your wonderful write-up!
